Welcome to Media, Pennsylvania, America's First Fair Trade Town!

Since Media, PA became the first  Fair Trade Town in the USA in June, 2006, it has inspired twenty-five other towns in the US to follow suit. Together we are raising awareness of  how the simple purchase of Fair Trade products can address poverty in the developing world.

Media is a beautiful small town just 25 minutes west of Philadelphia. Noted for its charm (there is a trolley running down the main street that takes commuters to Philadelphia) , friendliness, trees, and solar panels, Media is proud to be an active world citizen by promoting the Fair Trade movement.

The Fair Trade town movement in Britain and Europe has increased the sale of Fair Trade products exponentially. We hope to follow suit here in the Americas.
